SafetyChain Expands Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) Management with New Reporting and Supplier Collaboration Capabilities

LAGUNA BEACH, Calif. – July 21, 2026 – SafetyChain, the plant management platform for food and beverage manufacturers, today announced a new set of capabilities designed to help manufacturers manage corrective actions more effectively from initial investigation through final resolution. The release marks the general availability of both SafetyChain's Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) Management and Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) offerings, alongside new reporting, collaboration, and workflow enhancements that improve visibility, and traceability across quality operations.

Managing corrective actions often requires coordination across quality teams, production, suppliers, and external stakeholders. While manufacturers have long relied on SafetyChain to manage those processes, this release expands the platform with dedicated reporting, more flexible supplier workflows, and secure ways to share corrective action information beyond the organization without compromising system access.

The new CAPA Dashboard gives manufacturers a dedicated reporting experience for monitoring corrective actions throughout their lifecycle. Quality teams have a more actionable view of CAPA priorities, overall health, workflow progress, and outstanding tasks, while flexible filtering makes it easier to focus on the records and time periods most relevant to day-to-day operations.

The release also extends corrective action visibility throughout the platform by surfacing Linked CAPAs directly within SafetyChain's standard Record View. Users reviewing production, quality, or compliance records can immediately see whether corrective actions are associated with a record and, where appropriate, navigate directly to the corresponding CAPA to see the full history of an issue in one place.

Corrective actions often need to expand beyond internal teams, such as suppliers needing to investigate the root cause of an issue, or auditors and other stakeholders expecting evidence that corrective actions have been completed. The latest release introduces new capabilities that make those interactions more efficient while maintaining appropriate security and oversight. CAPA Secure Profiles allow manufacturers to share corrective action information with external stakeholders through a dedicated CAPA Viewer viewing experience without providing full access to the SafetyChain platform. Manufacturers can control exactly which information is visible.  Auditors and other approved parties get a secure, self-service way to review completed corrective actions and supporting evidence.

The release also marks the general availability of Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR). New workflow enhancements automatically notify suppliers when corrective action tasks are assigned, so issues reach the right people faster. More flexible resource selection lets manufacturers create supplier corrective actions that reflect how quality issues occur in practice, whether they involve a single product, multiple products, or broader supplier processes.

The latest release introduces more granular task assignment within CAPA Management by letting manufacturers assign resources when corrective actions are initiated. Resources are automatically carried through to the appropriate tasks so ownership stays clear throughout the investigation and reporting shows who is responsible for each stage of the corrective action process.
